We offer two free Open Sew Days each month—on the 1st Friday and the 3rd Tuesday—from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Space is limited, so registration opens on the 15th of the month prior.
Private groups may also rent our space for a fee of $10 per day, per group. In addition, we welcome nonprofit organizations and quilting guilds to host events at our shop—just give us a call to discuss the details and make arrangements.

Start with a Focus! Every great quilt—though not always—begins with a focus. It might be a beautiful panel, a colorful Jelly Roll, or simply a bolt or two of fabric that you absolutely love. Once you have your inspiration piece, selecting coordinating fabrics becomes much easier. Look for colors within your focus fabric to guide your choices and create a cohesive design. And remember, it's perfectly okay to change your mind along the way! As your quilt develops, you may decide that one of your original fabric selections no longer fits your vision. Quilting is a creative process, and there is nothing wrong with making changes to create a quilt you truly love.

Hemingway Pouch Class
Create a stylish quilted zipper pouch with a sporty and unique zipper application that looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to sew! These versatile pouches make wonderful gifts and are perfect for organizing everyday items such as phones, eyeglasses, pencils, Kindles, iPads, or even laptops depending on the size you choose.
Using three coordinating fabrics and a zipper of your choice, you’ll construct a pouch with either foam stabilizer for extra protection or cotton batting for a softer feel. The techniques learned in class can easily be used to create additional pouches in a variety of sizes.

Are you ready to dip your toes into garment sewing? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start! You’ll create a stylish and versatile A Little Somethin’ Jacket while learning essential skills to help you confidently work with garment patterns.
Instructor Lisa K. Giebink will guide you through the process of achieving a great fit and constructing a wearable project you’ll be proud to show off. This class is designed to take the guesswork out of sizing and help you feel comfortable working beyond “off-the-rack” expectations.
In this class, students will learn how to:
- Use body measurements to determine the best pattern size and fit
- Trace patterns onto Pattern Ease and adjust between sizes as needed
- Sew seams and angles for a more flattering fit
- Construct and inset sleeves
