Ruth Crossbody Bag Class
Description:
Create a modern, eye-catching crossbody bag using TPU vinyl in this technique-focused class. This stylish bag is perfect for everyday use and a great opportunity to expand your sewing skills by working with materials that behave differently than traditional quilting cotton.
Students will explore techniques for sewing with TPU (clear printed) vinyl while constructing a functional and fashion-forward crossbody bag. This class is ideal for confident beginners ready to move beyond basic bag-making and try something new in a supportive, hands-on environment.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to work with raw edge materials for a clean, modern finish
- Techniques for sewing with TPU (clear printed) vinyl
- How to add a functional 3D pocket
- How to construct and assemble side gusset panels
Students will leave class with a finished crossbody bag and new skills they can apply to future bag-making projects.

The supply list will be provided when students register for class and is available prior to registration upon request. It includes all items needed for class.
Class Prep:
Most of our classes include some class prep completed at home before class. To make the most out of your experience, we appreciate if you come ready so we can jump right into sewing together.
