Think Spring? Maybe a Spring Fabric Line...

Posted by Diana Wendorf on

The holidays will be here before we know it!  Beginning tomorrow through December 24th, all Christmas fabric will be 20% off.  We have the perfect fun holiday fabrics for your projects and there is still plenty of time to create a few!

Have you ever thought of making a Temperature Quilt but just don't know where to start?   This week Moda Fabrics has a great article on how to begin your strategy  along with a free download of their Temperature Quilt Planner.  Just click on the link below to get started on your very own quilt in 2023.

I am excited to announce that Sharon has agreed to come back in 2023 to lead an open sew embroidery group.  The group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:00am-3:30pm.  See the complete details below in the Classes and Events section.

The new Villa Rosa patterns have arrived for December.  In addition to the five quilt patterns this month there are two holiday table runner patterns that are sure to dress up any table.
Our newest sample this week is Reminiscence by Doug Leko of Antler Quilt Design.  The sample quilt measures 53" x 73" and features the Rendezvous line from Moda Fabrics.  Limited kits are available for $115.99.
Eufloria, designed by Create Joy Project for Moda Fabrics, is a stunning collection of watercolor florals, ferns, stripes and basics that will brighten and uplift your day as well as your quilt.
Fabric books make a great gift for any child in your life.  Our newest fabric book panel will teach your child about all the different shapes.  These are quick and fun to make and there is plenty of time to get one completed before the holidays.
If you are unable find an item you are looking for, talk to any Affinity For Quilts team member and we will do our best to order it for you.  We wish we could carry all of the items for your quilting needs, but some things need to be special ordered.

Tip of the Week!
Affinity For Quilts Tip of the Week:  Vacuum the edges of your Minky right after cutting. It becomes airborne and messy really easy, so vacuuming the edges with the wand makes quick clean-up.  It also prevents the fibers from getting stuck in your machine.   Remember to clean your machine when finished with your project as you will find more fuzz.
Just a reminder if you have a tip you would like to share with our readers just e-mail Diana at
Classes and Events
In order to give all of our customers the opportunity to take classes we will be requesting payment at the time of registration.  If you need to cancel, we ask for notification 7 days prior to the class date so we can offer your spot to someone on our wait list and refund your registration fee.  Thanks so much for your understanding of this policy change and happy quilting everyone.

When you sign up for a class at Affinity For Quilts you will receive information about the class including any supplies needed for the class and often a few things that need to be completed before the day of the class.  Be sure to read through the supply/class prep list to ensure you have everything you need for a really wonderful class experience.  If you sign up and pay by phone, not to worry, we can email you all of the information you need for a successful class experience.

If you are interested in an event and it is full, please add your name to the wait list, if someone can not attend then we will call the first person on the wait list to see if they are available to take that spot.

The wait list is also used to see how popular an event is and if we should offer it again in the future.
