Welcome to What's Up Wednesday!
Found!!!  If you have lost a bag of quilts we have found them.  A bag with several quilt tops was left in our our entry area heading towards the restroom.  To claim please identify the quilts that are in the bag.

Do you enjoy sharing your quilting knowledge with others?  If so, Affinity For Quilts is expanding their teaching team! Join the team and teach fellow quilters some of the quilting basics or your special quilting techniques. If this sounds like you, then e-mail Diana at quilt@affinityforquilts.com.

Midnight Open Sew continues to be a very popular event at our shop and fills quickly every month with a monthly wait list. This has prompted us to open up another open sewing group on the 4th Sunday of each month.  See the events section below for all the fun details.

It is Freebie Monday Time!  We all love the Wonder Clips but have you heard of the Magic Clip?  This is a fun new clip that will secure your projects and you  you can sew right over it.  The clips provide precise marking in 1/4" increments and they fit under your sewing foot.  No need to remove the clips.   To get your free Magic Clips, stop in on Monday February 14, and spend $25.00 pre-tax and give these amazing new clips a try on us.  This is an in store promotion only.

Just a reminder if you purchase the Hugs & Kisses quilt kit by the Whimsical Workshop before February 14, 2022 you will be eligible to receive free quilting on your finished top.  Your name will placed into a drawing and the winner will be randomly selected on February 15, 2022.   The fabric line used for this quilt is From The Heart by Clothworks.  The finished piece measures 42" x 42" and kits are available for $65.99. We love our customers!
The new Villa Rosa patterns have arrived!  We have seven fun new patterns to share with you this month; five quilt patterns plus two table runner patterns.
Hole Punch Dots by Kimberly Kight of the Ruby Star Society is a great basics collection of dots on different colored backgrounds. The collection features twenty of your favorite basic colors and would make the perfect addition to your next project.
Northcott Fabrics brings us Dot Matrix by Patrick Lose Studios.  Dot Matrix is a 14-piece blender collection featuring dotted grids of contrasting tone-on-tones, in a super-saturated palette of bold and brilliant colors.
If you are unable find an item you are looking for, talk to any Affinity For Quilts team member and we will do our best to order it for you.

Share your finished projects!  Join the "Quilting For Affinity" Facebook group to share your work and be inspired by others. Just click here, and you will be taken to the Facebook group.  Select 'join group' and you will be added.  It's that easy!

Tip of the Week
Affinity For Quilts Tip of the Week: Once you attach your binding to one side of your quilt press it flat, away from the fabric. Then turn it over and press it again.  Use wonder clips (if you want) to tack down the binding, and it makes finishing the binding a snap.
Classes and Events
Over the last couple months we have noticed that students who have signed up for a class, or club event,  are unable to join us on the day of the event and have not notified us of the change.   We understand that in these unusual times, things come up that are out of your control.  However, for most of our classes we have a wait list of people wanting to take classes.

In order to give everyone the opportunity to take classes we will be requesting payment at the time of registration.
If you need to cancel, we ask for notification 7 days prior to the class date so we can offer your spot to someone on our wait list and refund your registration fee.  Thanks so much for your understanding of this policy change and happy quilting everyone.

You can register and pay for classes in person at 2199 4th Street, White Bear Lake Minnesota or by phone at 651-429-1039.
