We’re excited to bring back the Affinity For Quilts Top-A-Long Sewing Adventure for another season of sewing, sharing, stash-busting, and quilting fun!
If you’re new to the fun, a Top-A-Long is a collaborative sewing experience where quilters work on the same quilt top or runner each month. With the cooler months ahead, it’s the perfect excuse to spend a little more time in your sewing room while being part of a fun and encouraging quilting community.
Beginning in October 2026, we’ll make a different quilt top or runner each month using patterns from Villa Rosa Designs. Along the way, we’ll also introduce you to some of the talented designers behind these popular patterns. We encourage you to shop your stash and finally use some of those special fabrics you’ve been saving for just the right project!
And there’s a little mystery involved—you won’t know which pattern we’re making next until it’s revealed!
How the Top-A-Long Works:
- Meet at Affinity For Quilts on the first Saturday of each month from October through May
- Receive that month’s Villa Rosa Designs pattern
- See the new quilt or runner sample revealed at the shop
- Enjoy show-and-tell featuring completed projects from the previous month
- Sew your project at home during the month using fabrics from your stash or something new
- Complete your quilt top or runner to be entered into that month’s quilty prize drawing
Can’t Attend a Monthly Meeting?
You can still participate! If you’re unable to attend in person, we’ll mail that month’s pattern to you so you can continue sewing along from home. Send us a photo of your completed quilt top or runner by text or email, and you’ll still be included in that month’s prize drawing.
The Grand Prize:
Keep sewing along with us throughout the Top-A-Long for a chance at an extra-special grand prize! One lucky participant will have the quilt top of their choice professionally longarm quilted, courtesy of Diana!
Whether you join us at the shop each month or sew along from home, we hope you’ll be part of another season of creativity, community, and quilting fun at Affinity For Quilts.
